The Pauls Valley Samaritan Food Pantry announced Friday that all clients of the food bank can now pick up food once a month instead once every other month.

“We are getting large shipments of canned goods from the Regional Food Bank, which means we can offer monthly distribution of food instead of every other month,” said Samaritan volunteer Lou Hall.

Hall said the pantry has also received financial contributions as well as the donation of a cow to be butchered for hamburger meat.

“The money we’ve received has been used to buy meat and the butcher shop should be delivering the hamburger meat to us soon,” Hall added.
