Robert Howard Vestle, age 60, of Lexington, Okla., died Saturday, July 21, 2018 in Oklahoma City. Robert was born February 27, 1958 in Pauls Valley, Okla., the third of five children born to Robert Junior Vestle and Anna Belle (Bone) Vestle. Known as Robbie, he was raised in Maysville and attended Maysville Schools. He began working in the oilfield, working throughout the years for several different companies.
Most recently, he worked for Capital and Key Energy. Robbie spent more than 22 years at Key Energy before retiring due to medical issues. Robbie married Ellen Matthews on June 14, 1986. They made their home in Lexington where together they raised three children, daughters Crystal and Dixie and son, Travis.
When not working, Robbie enjoyed traveling and vacationing. He loved riding on river boat cruises and enjoyed their music. He cherished his family and especially his grandchildren. Robbie liked watching his television shows and he stayed in touch with his fellow employees of Key Energy. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!

Robbie is survived by: His mother, Anna Belle Jones of Corpus Christi, Texas; Wife, Ellen, of the home; His daughters, Dixie Iser and husband Mike of Lexington and Crystal Cunha and husband SSG Jasun Cunha, currently stationed in Germany; His son, Travis Matthews and wife Jennifer of Lexington; three sisters, Roberta Brown and husband Donnie, Phyllis Vestle and Evelyn Davis, all of Corpus Christi; Brother, Allen Vestle and wife Peggy of Lindsay; six grandchildren, Dustin and Ryan Hailey, Callie Hokett, Dalton and Kaleb Matthews and Lexi Cunha; Four great-grandchildren, Addison, Briar and Caroline Hailey and Kaisley Hokett; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held July 25, 2018 at the Wilson Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment followed at Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, Okla. under the direction of Wilson-LIttle Funeral Home, Purcell, Okla. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com.
