A personal injury collision occurred March 30, 2020, just after 11:00 a.m., on State Highway 19 about one mile east of Stratford.
A pickup driven by Derryck W. Phillips, age 38, of Seminole, Okla. was pulling a flatbed trailer and traveling westbound on State Highway 19 when it slowed to make a left turn into a private drive.
A vehicle driven by Ariel D. Timmons, age 32, of Stratford, was also traveling westbound behind Phillips and failed to slow in time on the wet roadway striking the rear of Phillip’s trailer.
A teenage passenger in Phillip’s vehicle was not injured.
Timmons was transported by Stratford EMS to Mercy Hospital in Ada where she was admitted in serious condition with head, arm, leg and trunk internal and external injuries.
Cause of the collision was listed as inattention. Seatbelts were in use by all occupants.
The incident was investigated by Trooper Josh Christian #807 of the Garvin/Murray County Detachment of Troop F with assistance by the Stratford Fire Department, Garvin County Sheriff’s Office and Stratford Police Department.
