Maysville Public School announce school day arrival changes

This upcoming year there will be a few changes for both Maysville Public Schools sites. The elementary school drop off line will now be on the west side of the building and students will not be allowed to enter the building until 7:40 a.m. Please do not drop students off early. Students who are being dropped off will have their temperature checked as they exit their vehicle. Students who exhibit a fever of 100.0 degrees will not be allowed to enter the building. Elementary students will all be eating breakfast within their classrooms this year, instead of the cafeteria.

High school students will also not be allowed to enter the building until 7:40, upon entrance students will have their temperature taken, if they have a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher, those that can drive will be given a letter and sent home, those who can’t drive will contact their parents immediately and need to be picked up. Once high school students have entered the building they will be able to get breakfast and then will report to their first hour class.

Bus Riders will have their temperature check prior to boarding the bus. Students with a 100.0 degree temperature or higher will return to their homes if parents are present. If parents are not present, students will be required to wear a mask and sit in the vacant seat in the front of the bus. Once they are on campus, the student will wait in the designated isolation room until a parent can come get them. Elementary students will depart the buses on the north side of campus and High School students will continue to depart buses on the south side of campus.
