Maysville Elementary School broken into

By Jeff Shultz

Authorities are pouring through security camera film in hopes of finding out who broke into the Maysville Elementary School and left with some cash and other items.

According to Maysville Police Chief Aaron Glass, the school was robbed during the early morning hours of Monday, February 4.

“There was no damage to the outside of the building so we believe the suspects found a door or window that wasn’t properly closed,” Glass told the News Star.

Glass said an office was broken into once the suspects were in the building.

“The office door was severely damaged,” he added.

Taken from the office were a camera, some cash and several other items.

Glass encourages anyone with information on this crime to call the Maysville Police at 405-867-4447 or the Garvin County Crime Stoppers line at 1-855-211-STOP.
