The Restored Hearts and Soles Foundation’s fifth annual Prom Closet will be a two-day event this year.
The event will start on Friday, February 27, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will continue Saturday, February 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Prom Closet was started by Melissa Blubaugh in 2015 with the mission to help low income families have the same prom opportunities as everyone else without financial worry or stress.
All items at the Prom Closet event are free of charge. Volunteers at the event will be available to help each girl pick out the perfect dress.
Dresses are limited to one dress per girl.
In years past, there have been over 200 dresses at the event, as well as shoes and jewelry in a variety of styles, colors and sizes.
The event will be held at 312 S. Willow Street in Pauls Valley, which is located next door to Classic Realty of Oklahoma.
The Restored Hearts and Soles Foundation accepts donations for the Prom Closet throughout the year.
Donations can be dropped off at Physical Therapy Central, located at 34637 Airline Road in Pauls Valley, or donors can contact the foundation through its Facebook page for other donation drop off/pickup options.
Monetary donations to Restored Hearts and Soles Foundation or to the Prom Closet can be made through Venmo to @RestoredHearts-andSoles, or by mail to P.O. Box 1254, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, 73075.
