The Pauls Valley Farmers Market’s first year was a grand success but it’s time to start planning for the upcoming season.
According to Kate Cooper, the market manager and the president of the board of directors for the Farmers Market, this year is going to be even better.
“We are looking for new vendors this year,” says Cooper. “Meats, vegetables, a few crafts, specialty crops such as mushrooms or herbs are some of what we are looking for. The sky is the limit. If it is agricultural, in any way, we want it. We are hoping to add seven vendors to the market this year.”
The Pauls Valley Farmers Market has formed a 501c3, making it a non-profit organization.
The Market will be accepting SNAP, WIC, and Chickasaw vouchers. There will be entertainment every Saturday throughout the season. There will also be a Power of Produce Club for kids in the weekday market.
Planning meetings for this year will be held at the First United Bank in Pauls Valley on February 6th- 8th from 11:30 a.m.to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided to those who RSVP to Kate at (405)238-2555.
