Elmore City’s Footloose Festival is one of the finalists in the Chickasaw Country Awards, according to Chickasaw Country.

The annual festival is held each April in downtown Elmore City and commemorates the town’s connection to the Footloose book and movie.

The Footloose Festival is listed in the Best Festival category and is competing against the Chickasaw Nation Annual Festival, the Artesian Arts Festival, the Sandbass Festival and AdaFest.

The 2020 Best of Chickasaw Country Awards are divided into 14 categories. February 25 is the deadline for fans to vote for their favorite nominee in each category.

Nominations were counted throughout January, as hundreds nominated their preferred business or attraction in south-central Oklahoma.

Voters can cast their ballots through an interactive poll for the winning destinations.

Fans can vote for their favorite local business across the 14 categories online at ChickasawCountry.com/bocc-2020. Voting is limited to once per day, per participant, for each category.
