November 6

Wynnewood dance

Dancing is Great Exercise! Come and enjoy dancing and exercise at the Wynnewood Senior Citizen Center,  Monday evening, November 6th, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A live band, the Ada Playboys will be there to entertain. Admission is $5.00.

November 8

Veterans Luncheon

There will be a Veterans Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, November 8, from 11:30 – 1 p.m at the Courthouse.  Stop by and thank a Veteran for their service.

November 11

Antioch Thanksgiving dinner

The Antioch OHCE and the Antioch Community Association will host our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner at the Antioch School – Sr. Center on Saturday, November 11 at 6:00 PM.  

Turkey, dressing, and ham will be furnished. Bring your favorite holiday side dishes and desserts.

This has always been a well received event in the community and surrounding areas. For more information, contact Chestine Box at 580-788-2419.

First United Food Drive through Nov. 3rd

The First United Bank of Pauls Valley is accepting donations of canned and non-perishable food items through Friday, November 3rd, benefitting the Pauls Valley Samaritans Food Pantry.

Items may be dropped off at 315 West Grant Avenue in Pauls Valley, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  (Please, NO glass items.)

If you desire to make a monetary donation, please make checks payable to: Pauls Valley Samaritans.  Thank you for your donations and support.

Meals continue at EC Community Center

Lunch is served at 12:00 noon every Thursday at the Elmore City Community Center. Everyone is invited to attend and please bring a dessert.

EC Live Music

On Friday night

Beginning January 8 the EC Live Music Show will be on the second and fourth Friday evening of each month from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. at the Elmore City Senior Center located at 104 South Main St.

Admission is free and no alcoholic beverages are permitted.

Music regulars Poncho and Lefty will be there along with Norma Jean.

EC Community Bingo

Bingo games are continuing on the first Saturday of each month at the Community Center in Elmore City from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

You are invited to bring finger foods only please.

Come and have fun with your friends and neighbors! Profits will go toward Elmore City community projects.

Weight Watchers

The Weight Watchers group in Pauls Valley is now meeting at the Reynolds Recreation Center., at 5:30 p.m. on Monday evenings. Weigh in for members will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Those wishing to join are encouraged to come at 5:00 p.m.

Al-Anon meetings

Wynnewood Al-Anon meetings every Tuesday at the 1st Baptist Church 1515 E Robert S Kerr blvd. starting at 8:00 p.m. come in through west door. For more info contact 405-238-4574

Gamblers Anonymous

Gamblers Anonymous meetings are held on Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at the Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, located 1.4 miles west of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Road. For more information, please call 580-618-1184.

DNA Rehab held weekly

DNA Rehab, a Probation Officer of Court Related Services approved program, meets Mondays at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly of God Potters’ House on the parking lot of the Lindsay Assembly of God Church.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Bible based program. You do not have to have been court ordered to attend.

PV Kiwanis Club

The Pauls Valley Kiwanis Club now meets each Wednesday at noon at Tio’s.All members and interested individuals are encouraged to attend.

PV Lions Club

The Pauls Valley Lions Club meets the second and fourth Thursday at noon in the conference room at Pauls Valley General Hospital.

All members and interested individuals are encouraged to attend.

PV Rotary Club

The Pauls Valley Rotary Club meets each Friday at noon in the PVGH conference room. All members and interested individuals are encouraged to attend.

Spay/Neuter Clinic

Applications for the Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic sponsored by the Pauls Valley Animal Welfare Society may be made on the first working day of the month at 10:00 a.m. until all available places have been filled. Limit is 20 animals per month.

The clinic will be held on the second Thursday of each month. Animal drop off is at 7:30 a.m. at the Pauls Valley Animal Shelter and pick up is the same day after 5:00 p.m. at the shelter.

Cost is $40 for dogs and $25 for cats plus $5.00 for rabies vaccinations without valid documentation.
