Maysville Chamber begins plans for Summer

POSTED MAY 17, 2019

The Maysville Chamber of Commerce recently met to begin planning for our Community Summer Celebration. Due to increasing cost of pyrotechnic vendors, instead of fireworks, the Chamber has decided to host a Family Fun Day Celebration on June 29, 2019 from 11am – 1pm located in the grove by the athletic fields.

If funds are available, a Fireworks Celebration will be offered every-other year. The Chamber’s annual fundraiser is the primary source of funding for a fireworks display. Therefore, ticket sales are highly important.

The 2019 Chamber annual raffle fundraiser is a “Bricktown Entertainment Vacation Package”. The package includes: 2 night stay at Hampton Inn & Suites, 4 passes to the OKC National Memorial Museum, 4 passes to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 4 passes to the Science Museum Oklahoma, 4 passes to the American Banjo Museum, 2 Adventure passes to OKC RiverSport, 2 appetizers at Texadelphia and $200 Visa gift card. The package totals $1,000.00.

The $10 raffle ticket can be purchased from Keith Clagg, Claudia Reeves, Dr. Shelly Beach, John Williams, Farmers & Merchants Bank, First United Bank, Garvin County News Star and Wiley’s Sweets, Eats & Smoked Meats. The drawing will be held during the Family Fun Day Celebration on June 29, 2019 from 11am – 1pm.

If you would like to join the Chamber of Commerce, you are invited to attend our monthly meetings held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Maysville First United Bank. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12th at noon.
